Over the years, the political campaign industry has become substantially more professional and process-driven. Before this time, there was no such thing as a political consultant. People who worked on campaigns were usually volunteers or staffers on leave from a politician’s office.

With the opening of The National Institute of Politics, we have taken the next step in professionalization of the industry. For the first time, a credentialing program has been put in place to allow political professionals to document their training and expertise. Our Courses

The National Institute of Politics offers five (5) multi-class certificate programs that you can use to set yourself apart from political consultant wannabes.

Campaign Manager: This prestigious certificate is a collection of nine (9) classes that delivers the greatest value of all certificate programs. Students who complete this program gain more campaign knowledge than 98% of campaign managers working in the field.

Strategist: This fascinating course introduces the art of the mind game and more. Choose from Democratic or Republican instructors, and take the core strategy class from both parties. This certificate includes seven (7) classes.

Press Secretary: This critical campaign role can make or break a candidate – if you don’t believe it, just ask Sarah Palin and Gary Hart. This program consists of five (5) classes and delivers a certificate that you can be proud to hang on your wall.

Campaign Coordinator: A campaign coordinator serves as a campaign manager’s number one deputy. This certificate program is a great place to start your political training and an excellent value. It includes three (3) classes.

Researcher: Nothing gets a candidate’s attention like a researcher finding a silver bullet issue to derail his opponent’s campaign. This three (3) course certificate teaches the ins and outs of effective research.
