About Us : The National Institute of Politics

The National Institute of Politics was created in 2009 by political strategists George Gorton (R) and Kam Kuwata (D) , and political lawyer Terry Gorton. Their vision drove the creation of hands-on, practical online courses from top experts from both sides of the political aisle. The target audiences for these courses are political staffers, university students, political activists, and anyone who aspires to a career in politics or simply wants to know how campaigns in America really work.

The National Institute of Politics is the first and only online school that teaches the trade of politics with classes based on the American political system. Our organization is non-partisan, offering classes from experts from both major U.S. political parties. We even offer a choice of Democratic or Republican teachers for many classes. Some people choose to be taught by their own party member, some see the advantage of being taught by the opposite party, and some choose to take the same class twice to get both points of view.
